Galaxy Note succsessor said to be coming in October
For a niche product the Galaxy Note has racked up pretty impressive sales, selling over 7 million units since launch. MK Business News is reporting that Samsung is in the development stages for a successor to the original Galaxy Note.
Anticipating an October release, Samsung will be directly competing with Apple when they release the next generation iPhone.
The Galaxy Note ll will use an unbreakable plane display that will enable Samsung to design a thinner phone without sacrificing internal hardware. Battery life and screen size will be increased compared to the current Galaxy Note and the Galaxy Note ll will feature a quad-core CPU.

Is this the Google Nexus tablet?
The image above is said to be a press image for the Nexus tablet from ASUS. The source that sent in the images (another picture at the source link) claims that the 7-incher will come with the quad-core Tegra 3 processor and 1GB of RAM.
The tablet, that looks suspiciously looks like an even bigger Galaxy Note, features a earpiece grill which is usually omitted from tablets because usually they can’t make calls so the fact that this has one may point to phone functionality.
Early reports suggested that the Nexus tablet would be running Android 5.0 JellyBean but the tipster says that its is more likely to be running Android 4.1 instead.
If this is the Nexus tablet and it comes in at the $200-$250 price point we’ve been hearing Google could have a big seller on their hands.

The popular news reader app ‘Flipboard’ has leaked out for Android. When the Samsung Galaxy S lll launched last week, the demo units had the Flipboard app installed on them but there was no further word on when we would see a public release for other devices. Now the apk for Flipboard has been released into the wild by a member of the xda-developers forum, so far it looks to be working on most devices, even older models like the Samsung Galaxy S and I’ve installed it on my Samsung Galaxy Note without a problem.
