Day 4 of living with the HTC One
So far the One has been a good phone to live with.
The design and build quality is top notch, better looking than the iPhone 5 and build quality at least matching if not surpassing it. The One is quite a tall phone so it can be a stretch to reach the power button which is placed at the top of the phone, but the power button is placed there because it also functions as an IR blaster (in other words it functions as a remote control for your tele and cable box)
HTC One: Does it live up to expectation?
Its no secret that the HTC One is the phone of the moment, or at least the Android phone of the moment but with all the hype surrounding it comes a certain level of expectation.
I recently got the HTC One and over the next few days and weeks i’ll be posting updates on what the One is like to live with and if it lives up to the hype.

HTC announce the One SV, coming to the UK with LTE
HTC have just added another phone to their 2012 One lineup, and this time it’s the HTC One SV. The successor to the One S phone comes with 1.2GHz Snapdragon S4 soc, 5 megapixel camera, 480 x 800 Super LCD 2 display and NFC. Unlike recent HTC phones the One SV will support expandable storage via microSD and will have a removable battery. Unfortunately it will be running Ice Cream Sandwich which is a shame but when it’s released in the UK in the coming weeks it will have support for LTE so even though no networks were mentioned its safe to assume EE will be picking up this handset.

The HTC One X+ smiles for the camera
HTC are about to refresh its current flagship phone for its One line, with the HTC One X+.
The design of the One X+ is identical to the current One X so don’t expect any change there. Where you will find changes is in the internals, the One X+ bumps up the quad-core processor to 1.7GHz and the storage is also boosted to 64GB.
Jelly Bean will be making appearance out of the box and 25GB of free cloud storage will be provided by Dropbox.

HTC and O2 plan to sell phones without chargers
Before the end of the year HTC and the UK carrier O2 will release a phone that doesn’t come with a charger in the box.
The phone that will ship without a charger hasn’t been named yet but it will come with a USB to Micro USB cable.
With all the phones sold in the UK, O2 say that 70% of customers already have the relevant charger for their handset.

Windows Phone 8X by HTC launching in November
HTC and Microsoft have come together to bring us the Windows Phone 8X
The 8X will run Microsoft’s, latest mobile phone operating system Windows Phone 8 and at first glance it literally looks likes its got a lot going for it
HTC One X 5 visualised in press render
From what we can tell it looks like HTC will be the next Android OEM to release a phone that sits in the 5-inch display size category. As the name suggests it will placed in HTC’s One line of phones which includes the One X, One S and One V. The One X 5 could be the first screen on a phone to hit the 1080p mark and it could feature Qualcomm’s new quad-core S4 pro CPU.

HTC confirm that the One X and One S will get Jelly Bean
Ever since Google announced Android 4.1, Jelly Bean we’ve been waiting for the big OEM’s to make an announcement on which handsets would get the latest version of Android. Among us are a lot of HTC users expecting their relatively new One X and One S to get Jelly Bean and rightfully so, as HTC have confirmed that they are bringing Jelly Bean to both of the mentioned devices.
We know HTC fans are excited to get their hands on Google’s latest version of Android. At this point in time, we can confirm that we have plans to upgrade our HTC One X, HTC One XL and HTC One S to Jelly Bean. Verizon officially announce the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE
Verizon are adding another 4G phone to their lineup and this time it comes in the form of the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE. As the name suggests, its a LTE phone, with a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, running Android 4.0 and Sense 4, 4-inch Super LCD qHD screen, 8-megapixel camera with AF and 8GB of storage. The less than ample storage can be upgraded through a microSD card up to 32GB and giving the phone its juice is a 1,700mAh removal battery. No price has been announced but expect to see the phone in ‘the coming weeks’

HTC One S coming April 25th on T-Mobile for $199.99
T-Mobile are bringing the HTC One S to US soil on April 25th. The One S will sell for $199.99 with a $50 mail-in rebate on a two-year contract. HTC brand the One S as the middle device in the One range of phones but arguably it can hold its with its bigger brother the One X, the One S has a 4.3-inch qHD super AMOLED, 16GB of storage, 8-megapixel camera and 1GB of RAM. Like the One X it ships with Android 4.0 and Sense 4.
