This Friday Apple and third party retailers will begin selling the iPad mini. As with most products, at least one unit has slipped through the net and arrived at the doorstep before the November 2nd launch date.
A French customer that pre-ordered an iPad mini from Darty has taken delivery of Apple’s smaller tablet.
The lucky customer was generous enough to take a couple of unboxing pictures for the curious ones among us to view.
When Apple do finally announce the iPad mini they may offer a smaller capacity than they have on any previous iPad.
To hit the $249 price point Apple will offer the iPad mini with 8GB of internal storage. The larger 9.7-inch iPad has always started at 16GB so it will be interesting to see how many people opt in and buy the 8GB mini opposed to larger storage option.
The iPad mini will directly compete with Google’s Nexus 7 in screen size and price point.
Apple are expect to unveil the iPad mini on October 23.
With everyone focused on Friday which should see Apple’s biggest phone launch many current iOS device owners are forgetting that iOS 6 will be out today.
