Apple are apparently replacing customers iPhone 4 with the iPhone 4s. This is due to the fact there is a shortage affecting the iPhone 4, so Apple has told their Genius Bar workers that in the right circumstances to replace a customers 16GB white iPhone 4 with a 16GB white iPhone 4s. The iPhone 4s would be a refurbished unit but Apple’s refurbished products usually look brand new so there shouldn’t be an issue. So far it looks like this replacing the iPhone 4 for an iPhone 4s rule is only in affect in Apple stores in the US and Canada but it doesn’t seem to have filtered down to all stores yet.
