2 reasons why I brought the iPad 2 instead of the new iPad
No wild conspiracy theories on why I didn’t get the new iPad, just two simple reasons.
1. Coming from the original iPad, the iPad 2 (for me) was a bigger jump than going to the new iPad. Technically the 3rd gen iPad would of been a bigger improvement on my 1st gen one but although the Retina display as nice as it is I don’t feel it would of drastically improved my iPad experience, so for me logically the iPad 2 was the better investment and now only being £329 ($399) that is a pretty low price for the hardware your getting.
2. Simply put, you CAN’T jailbreak the new iPad yet. When ever I get an Apple device I need to be able to jailbreak it, whether its tethered or untethered. Yes I know eventually there will be a a jailbreak available but hackers say that it is still weeks away and if you like technology you want your device as close to perfect as possible in the least time, so being able to jailbreak the iPad 2 is what swayed me into the purchase.
